My name is Andrew Timms and I come from Banbury in Oxfordshire I chose to study game art design at de Mont Fort University because I want to learn 3d modelling and develop my drawing skills. My ambition is to become a character/asset modeller, in my first year I want to learn the basics of 3dsmax and gradually become better, faster and more efficient at model making. After I graduate I would like to get a job in a well known games company. Other than games my interests lie in playing the guitar and listening to music and also to do artwork.
My dream job is to be a character/asset modeller therefore I have searched the web for a job of that nature. High moon studios which is part of activision blizzard is currently looking for a character artist and the job requirements are:

Strong passion for video games.
3 years of 3D modeling and texturing experience.
Highly proficient with Maya or 3D Studio Max, Photoshop and ZBrush.

At the moment the only job requirements I definitely have are strong traditional art skills and a strong passion for video games however all the other requirements listed I will have learned and developed over the 3 year course therefore after I graduate I will have all the necessary skills to apply for this job with the confidence that I can provide what they are looking for.
